Despite being scarred and scared, she faced her excruciating ordeal with a resolute spirit and is now an epitome of exuberance.

An acid attack did leave Resham Khan in trauma, but the brave 21-year-old girl came out of her shell and has shown to the world how to fight back life's punches.     

It took a huge inner strength for Resham to recover from the wounds - physical as well as psychological. She has been documenting her recovery on social media and her blog. Recently, she posted a picture of her face which doesn't bear any traces of her past injury - there's no sign of the fear too. It looks as beautiful as her soul!

The healing and transformation wasn't easy, though. In June, Resham was "devastated" after the attack happened. She thought she would "probably never look the same".

In July, she wrote on her blog: "Today I was too petrified to walk to my local shop. Too scared to face the world. Too scared of the looks I might get. Too scared to tackle the question "how are you". Just too scared. That's all I've been. Terrified and reluctant. My life on pause, frozen with fear."
