Bahrain News Agency-affiliated Media Skills Development Centre co-organises in cooperation with the Italian News Agency (AGI) a specialised training course on the subject of "social media networks uses for journalists" in which more than
16 governmental ministries and press organisations participate.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Acting Director General Mohannad Sulaiman said that this course comes under the current Training Plan 2013-2014 aimed at implementation of a series of monthly media training courses in cooperation with Arab and international agencies as well as with some relevant bodies in various important major aspects of the media.
The course is scheduled to kick-off on Saturday next week at 9:00 am and lasts until 2:00 pm at the head-office of the Information Affairs Authority (IAA), Sulaiman said.
He added that the objective behind these courses aim to develop media skills in the field of news agencies and media directorates and sections in government ministries.
Sulaiman praised the cooperation with the Italian News Agency (AGI) in creating a generation of media professionals capable of keeping apace with fast developments in social media and using latest media training techniques and instruments. (IY)
