Nissan LEAF cars

Nissan LEAF cars A batch of Nissan LEAF cars have set the record for being the \'largest parade of electric vehicles\' to be driven as part of a convoy anywhere in the world. The attempt, which has made the Guinness Book of World Records took place at the British Silverstone racing circuit.
As many as 225 electric cars were involved, beating the previous record of 218 set by Chrysler in the United States.
Paul O\'Neill, Nissan\'s product manager for LEAF said: \"It was great to see so many LEAFs on the track at the same time.  We are delighted to have broken the Guinness world record and want to thank all the owners who helped us achieve this, we couldn\'t have done it without them.\"
LEAF owners from across the UK travelled to Silverstone to set the world record. The cars paraded around the circuit for over two miles, with Guinness World Record adjudicators in attendence.
The vehicle has history in setting world records, becoming the fastest car over a mile in reverse, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year.
