We love the idea of heels — they give us a couple more inches and help create long, lean lines — but we hate wearing them. They’re uncomfortable and a hazard to our heath. So when Rihanna stepped out in an amazing pair of flatform sneakers this week (which gave her a boost sans the pain of stilettos), we were sold. So sold, she topped our best-dressed list.

Rihanna: While we love the singer’s dress (it screams summer), what we can’t get over are her flatform sneakers. They add some height and they look comfortable — turns out, you can have it all. 

Amal Clooney in Versace: Just when we thought we’d seen peak Amal, she gives us this amazing look. The lace dress is all business but her black head wrap is a nod to her fashionable side — this girl knows how to take a style risk. 

Kiernan Shipka in Dior: Even though Shipka is only 16 years old, she has more style than most celebrities we know. We love how she added a slight twist to this classic black suit by adding beaded embellishments on the jacket. BRB, we’re about to copy a teenager.

Elle Fanning in Elie Saab: Leave it to Ms. Fanning to make sheer look sophisticated. While this gown does show a lot of skin, the long sleeves and long hemline help to create perfect balance. 
Ella Purnell in Gucci: The English actress is hitting it out of the park with this look. The color-blocking and the wavy line details are perfect for sitting front row at the Gucci Cruise show.
