’ white and signature headband, the designer’s Spring line is a showcase of confortable, ultra-wearable styles that’s perfect for work. Crafted from a palette of cool gray, charcoal, ivory and exciting coral, Conran’s latest range convictively breaks away from the complicated, and often contrived, designs of most of this season’s collections.
Most of the looks were created using only one colour, with the exception of the coral and white number that somehow reminded us of Versace’s signature Greek pattern – or, if coming from a tech geek’s perspective, of a QR code or BlackBerry barcode.
Conran’s clean silhouettes are complemented by simple footwear, often flats with clear plastic straps, and a range of transparent solid clutches made presumably from crystal-like acrylic. These elements combine to emphasise the simplicity, crispness and clarity that Conran had in mind when he envisioned this collection.
