The next Ramadan will witness a strong return to the Egyptian series which discuss Upper Egypt societies and popular areas, after they decline in the last few years. A number of stars who did not present this kind of drama for a long time will also return in this year. One of these series which will compete in this season is the second part of “Afrah Iblis” series, starred Syrian actor Gamal Suleiman after a long absence since he presented Saydna El Sayed series, five years ago. The coming series will also be starred Egyptian actress Sabreen who replaced actress Abla Kamel.
A number of Egyptian stars will also participate in the series, including Reham Abdul Ghafoor, Menna Fadali, Ahmed Saeed Ghani, Ayten Amer, Ahmed Safwat, Yasser Farag and Dina Fouad. The series is written by Magdi Saber, who completed his writing after the late author Muhamed Safa Amer, and directed by Ahmed Khaled Amin.
Another series will appear in Ramadan is “Hegrat El-Sayida” starring Egyptian actress Wafaa Amer and Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakhergy, as well as Nour El-Sherif, Sherif Salama and Amr Abdul Galil. The series is written by Nasser Abdul Rahman and directed by Adel Adeeb. It is scheduled to begin shooting the series within the coming days after the producing company changed its former decision to postpone it.
In terms of the popular drama, Egyptian actress Sumaya Khashab will return to this type of drama in her new series “El Halal”. The series is written by author Samah Hariri. It is the second work between Khashab and Hariri after their last series "Hakika w Sarab". The new series is co-starring a group of stars, including Youssra Lozi, Dina Fouad and Bayoumi Fouad, and directed by Ahmed Shafiq.
Egyptian icon actress Yousra will return the popular drama in this year, after she performed the role of human development expert in her last series “Foua Moustawa El Shobohat”. The new series is called “Ala Selm El khaddamin" which discuss the life of home maids in Egypt. The series is co-starring a number of young stars, including Mahmoud Abdel Moghny, Eman El Assy, Karim Fahmy, Murad Makram. It is directed by Hani Khalifa and written by Iyad Abdul Mageed. It is scheduled to be filmed in Warraq area.
Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe will also present a popular series in Ramadan called "Al Herbaih" and will be directed by Maryam Ahmadi. The filming will start on Saturday, co-starring Monzer Rayahneh, Mahmoud Abdel Moghny and Naglaa Badr.
