The Arab British Centre festival With so many Arab countries in the midst of restructuring and finding themselves, there has never been a better time for art to come to the forefront.  The Arab British Centre, working in partnership with The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London and Dubai International Film Festival are presenting a brilliant event to celebrate and commemorate Arab cinema.
“Safar: A Journey Through Popular Arab Cinema” is a week-long series of classic and contemporary popular cinema that will take audience on a journey of gripping drama, subversive comedies and exaggerated melodramas.
There will be a vast collection of cinematic masterpieces shown through the period of September 21-27 at The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London in London, including acclaimed films like Bosta, Watch out for Zouzou, Stray Bullet and many more. The programme will explore a fifty year period of filmmaking that demonstrates the diversity and complexity of Arab cinema from Egypt, to Jordan to Lebanon.
