Netflix is dropping more than 80 Hollywood movies, including "Titanic," "Top Gun" and "Braveheart," from its streaming service Wednesday, a Reddit post said.
Also to disappear from the website this week are "Being John Malkovich,
" "Do the Right Thing," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Flashdance," "Roman Holiday," "Platoon," "War Games," "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" and "Killer Klowns From Outer Space," as well as the TV shows "Dark Shadows," "Mr. Bean" and "The Kids in the Hall."
CNN said it was not clear who posted the Netflix list on Reddit, but a search on the movie rental website for many of the titles shows they will only be available on DVD after Jan. 1.
Netflix told CNN the company routinely adds and deletes titles from its streaming service due to licensing contracts.
New titles to be made available for streaming in the new year are the films "Jack Reacher," "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" and seasons 5-8 of the small-screen drama "Dexter."
