Justin Bieber shares a photo after Turkey show
London – Mai Mihaimeed
Canadian superstar Justin Bieber appears to be changing his ways. Instead of angering fans by turning up late, as he did for his London show in April, the singer has been showered by tweets of gratitude after his May 2 concert in Turkey.
Bieber
paused his set twice during the concert to honour the Muslim call to prayer, impressing fans and quite frankly, us too.
The 19 year-old pop star was playing a sold out show at the ITU Stadium in Istanbul, when he stopped his act for the Adhan, which occurs five times a day to alert Muslims to prayer.
Fans were shocked and delighted by Justin’s choice to respect the Muslim tradition, E!Online reports.
Concert-goers and admirers immediately flocked to Twitter to share their delight.
One user, @maysoonzayid, wrote: “Arab artists DON’T stop there shows…Go Justin. Bieber Stops Turkey Concert 2 Honour Muslim Prayer Call.”
Another fan wrote on Twitter, “The fact that Justin Bieber stopped his show in Turkey for the adhan when Muslim artists don’t even do that is really commendable.”
Following the performance, Justin tweeted: “Turkey was right. 4 more shows to go. Dubai is next. #believetour.”
