United Nations Children's Emergency Fund"UNICEF", appointed the Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy and his wife Mona Zaki as well as the actress Donia Samir Ghanem, as good-will ambassadors.
 
Helmy presented a short film calls for ending the violence in education, expressing his happiness for joining the organization. The actor said, in his speech during the organized ceremony to mark the 70 anniversary of its founding, that he would work very hard to be an influential voice contributes to make a change for the better because the child is the most important thing in life and should have always priority attention to his health. 

He added that he hopes to be a shell to destroy any violence against children and to be a minaret to guide each father and mother how to deal with their children.

Donia Samir Ghanem presented a short film titled "Imagine", stressing "I pledge to do everything in my power to help children and young people, because they deserve a bright future.
 
In addition, the actress Mona Zaki also presented another film, in which she talked about her experience as a mother, saying she is proud of the support of the UNICEF mission to move forward in advocating for children's rights and defend them.

Among the Egyptian artists who received the title of Good-will Ambassador is Adel Imam, in the UN High Commissioner for Refugees of the United Nations in 2000, in order to enhance public awareness on the issue of refugees in Arab countries.

The UN also appointed actress, Yousra, as a good-will ambassador to eradicate AIDS, to join a long list of international artists who occupied this post.

The actor Mahmoud Yassin also was appointed as UN good-will ambassador, In 2005, due to his efforts in the fight against poverty and hunger, as well as for his humanitarian activities in various Arab countries, where he participated in the resolution of many of the important issues addressed by the communities to reach a better life.

The actor Khalid Abu Naja was appointed as UN good-will ambassador, In 2007 and 2008, due to his role in resolving the problems of children all over the world.

The actor Hussein Fahmi, win the Medal of good-will ambassador for Peace in 2012, in recognition of his role in drama. The actress Dalia Buhairi was appointed as UN good-will ambassador in 2010. The actress Hend Sabry also was selected as UN good-will ambassador for the World Food Programme to fight hunger.
