Egyptian actress Eman El-Asy
In her first political interview, Egyptian actress Eman El-Asy said she was \"once hopeful\" for ousted president Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood,
but now believes \"Egypt is living in a circus.\"
In an exclusive interview with Arab Today, the starlet said: \"I am against Mohammed Morsi continuing the electoral duration because he is not ?suitable for Egypt’s presidency. He did nothing that he had promised to do. Even applying Sharia ?and ruling by it\'s principles was used as a tool to fool the poor.\"
The actress added: \"I ?recently heard that he licenced an increase in night clubs and the punishment for drinking alcohol was minimised. We are living in more corruption than ever before.”?
The actress stated that the Brotherhood\'s loyalty is only to their group - whether in Egypt, Palestine, ?Turkey or any other place in the world.
“I hope God protects Egypt,\" Eman said. \"I hope everything returns to normal as soon as possible, and I hope we are able to get out of the trouble Morsi and the Brotherhood have got us into.\"
Discussing her upcoming work, Eman told us that she is artistically active, and her audience will see her during Ramadan in two completely different ?aspects in the series Al Rakeen, which co-stars Mahmoud Abdel Moghny and in Al Akrab.
