Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma

Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were in the UAE to promote their upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal. And what a stir they caused during a fan appearance in Abu Dhabi when a throng of 27,000 fans flooded the mall. They also they appeared at a Dubai nightclub dancing.
But fan appearances and promotions are not your only chance to see Bollywood stars in the UAE. Here are five, including SRK, who can be regularly spotted around the Emirates.
Shah Rukh Khan
SRK is often spotted around the city because he has a house here on The Palm. SRK told The National, in an exclusive interview while he was filming Happy New Year, that he loves Dubai. “This is a special city and I always love coming here.“ The actor has even starred in a commercial sponsored by Dubai tourism promoting the city. In the advert, the star walks around and surprises people when they are least expecting it - jogging alongside people or surprising diners in an Indian restaurant when he appears as their waiter. And part two is coming up soon, so next time it could be you.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai
This powerhouse Bollywood couple own a huge villa in Dubai’s Sanctuary Falls in Jumeirah Golf Estates and often come to Dubai, even spending last New Year’s here. Rai often pops over for a shopping spree with her mother as well. Bachchan’s father is arguably the most famous in Bollywood, so there’s a chance you may spot him, too. He was, after all, in Abu Dhabi for a wedding in April.

Anil Kapoor, one of the most successful actors in the Hindi film industry, is also a Dubai homeowner. The 59-year-old invested in a two-bedroom flat in the Ritz by Danube complex in Al Furjan neighbourhood in Jebel Ali. It is rumoured that he bought Sonam Kapoor, his daughter, an apartment, too.
Salman Khan, the bad boy of Bollywood, owns an apartment in Business Bay. The actor, who as well as regularly being in the city for film promotions, is also the face of one of the region’s largest clothing companies, Splash.
