Government Abdelkader E-amara has encouraged creative spirit in business
A ceremony celebrating the best Moroccan brands took place at the 4th Morocco Awards of Brands Radiation festival, in Casablanca.
The event was a collaboration between the Ministry of Industry, Trade
and New Technologies, and the Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property.
Moroccan brand Fandy was given a special award for the production of grain and distribution of flour. Diamantine, specialising in fashion accessories, was awarded for excellence in trade and distribution.
MyBio, responsible for producing and marketing Arkan oil won the Best Local Products award, while Outsourcia, a social networking and information services management firm was given the Moroccan Globally Advanced Company award.
OroBrique bagged the Innovative Brand award, the origins of which come from encouraging Moroccan investments. The Emerging Brand Award went to Venezia Ice.
Médi 1 TV channel won two separate awards. The first was for best brand of the year and the second, an audience award as voted for by Moroccans.
The victorious brands were selected from 65 different trade brands, of which 23 were industrial, 14 commercial, 17 providing services, and 11 from the emerging category label.
The awards ceremony was attended by Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, Abdelkader E-amara. He praised all the brands involved and encouraged creativity as a basic requirement for the development of both domestic and global markets.
The judging committee at the festival was chaired by Salwa Akhenouch. He hailed the importance of the industrial property system in general and intellectual property.
