Things We Like event attracted around 2,000 visitors
The Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre (DUTAC) has announced a follow up to its successful 2012 market event, Things We Like. The event originally attracted around 2,000 visitors, all of whom had a chance to buy original
creative products, artwork, vintage finds, collectables, clothing and more from a carefully selected group of locally-based artists and creatives.
Things We Like II will again showcase Dubai's creativity and innovation. Visitors will find another broad selection of stalls hosing a colourful spectrum of creative products.
The day will also feature local DJs playing live - including The Deep Crates Cartel and Liminal Roots - plus spoken word performances from local poets and writers.
The aim of the market event is to illustrate and bring together the pockets of talent that exist in Dubai and the surrounding area. Giving those involved a chance to network with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and perhaps even work together in the future.
The free event takes place on April 6 2013, at the DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates.
DUCTAC is the first modern, non profit, cross-community multi-art form creative centre in the Gulf. The Centre was officially opened on November 1 2006 by Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
