A combination of Sufi singing and Mawlawiyah dance harmonised Tuesday in an enthralling show at the Opera House in Damascus, taking off the dust of the Syrian religious music and recitational heritage.
Met with a great interaction
from the audience, \'Tahlila\' troupe presented a rich show of religious whirl dance to the tunes of a beautiful collection of Sufi chants sung by Fawaz al-Khojeh.
Enchanting tableaus were performed by Mawlawiyah dancers who created a impressive atmosphere of religious solemnity especially that Sufi singing is considered one of ways to know the Creator and His infinite and limitless magnificence , thanks to the superior performance of the orchestra led by Nazih Asaad.
Tahlila troupe was founded in 2007 and is specialized in Muwasha, a type of Arabic poetic form and religious singing and keen on spreading the genuine Islamic Arab heritage.
