The Arab Music Festival will feature well-known singers

Egyptian Minister of Culture, Mohamed Saber Arab and the head of the Opera House, Inas Abduldayem, will open the 7th annual Arab Music Festival on Thursday August 15 in Alexandria
Opera House at the Sayed Darwish theatre.
The opening ceremony will include playing the Egyptian National Anthem, followed by an opening speech by the chairwoman of Opera House.
Several people are due to be honoured for their role in enriching the artistic life of Egypt and the Arab world: Composer and singer Ibrahim Abdel Shafie, late businessman Dr. Mohamed Albhtimy, author Emad Hassan, poet Awad Badawi , musician Farouk Sharnouby, singer Ezzat Awadallah composer Sherif el-Abyadd, and the former director of Alexandria Opera Samy Mahmoud.
This will be followed by festivities titled For loving Egypt, where all profit will be fully donated to the Egypt Support Fund.
It will include well-known singers who will be accompanied by the Alexandria Troupe for Music and Singing headed by Abdel-Hamid Abdel-Ghaffar.
Abduldayem said that 7th annual Arab Music Festival in Alexandria will be the first of its kind following the June 30 revolution, which highlights the strong Egyptian cultural identity, pointing out that the Opera House adopts the slogan of art is resistance which was one of the main principles that expressed the spirit of the June 30 revolution.
