of the Egyptian Premier League.
The tour has been organised by Medhat Bhagat, a member of Zamalek's Board of Directors. The club's Portuguese coach Jorvan Vieira will not travel with the team, but is expected to meet players at the training facility in UAE.
The travelling squad consists of the following 14 players: Abdul Wahed Al-Sayed, Mahmoud Hamdy, Ahmed Samir, Hazem Emam, Sabri Raheel, Salah Suleiman, Ahmed Jaafar, Ahmad Hassan, Hamada Tulba, Ahmed Tawfik, Noor Sayed, Islam Awad, Yusuf Hassan and Karim Ahmed. Six international players will join the camp after Egypt's friendly against Ivory Coast. These are, Ahmed Shenawy, Omar Gaber, Mohamed Abdel Shafi, Ibrahim Salah, Mahmoud Fathallah and Mohamed Ibrahim.
Three African players have been excluded from the tour. Beninese forward Razak Omotoyossi and Cameroon’s Alexis Mondaumo have been left in Egypt because of disciplinary problems. Abdoulaye Cissé is still on his break. Defensive midfielder Ahmed Merghany has left for Kuwaiti team al-Tadamun, while Zamalek trio Ahmed Magdy, Said Kutta and Mahmoud Janash are injured.
Coach Vieira is hoping the club can sign new players quickly, so they can join the training camp in the Emirates. The Egyptian Premier League is scheduled to resume on February 2.
