The Bahrain Equestrian Team won first place in the team and individual military competitions during the Royal Windsor Horse Show, besting 25 participating military teams after Bahrain’s participants presented great and distinguished levels that qualified them to win the title.
The Bahrain team consisted of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Khalid Al Khatiri, Ahmed Mansour, Saber Faraj and Ahmad Abdul Kareem Al Jahromi. The Bahrain team achieved outstanding results in the championship. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa displayed a remarkable level in the showjumping competition and was able to win first place in the "St George class" competitions after a high performance and clear compatibility with his horse.
Ahmed Mansour managed to achieve fourth place, presenting a high technical level and showing clear competition for leading positions.
Khalid Al Khatiri won sixth place in the Bahrain Pearl Stakes and qualified for the Grand Prix after competing with the elite of the world's Olympic competitors for top spots in the competition.
Ahmed Abdul Kareem Al Jahromi also took the third place, adding another achievement to the team that confirms Bahrain’s excellence in the competition. Khalid Al Khatiri also participated in the His Majesty the King's Cup at the height of 1.55m, one of his obstacles falling down kept him from the podium.
Noman Al Hassan .. Outstanding results
On the occasion, Marine Corps Brigadier General Noaman Al Hassan, Secretary General of the Military Sports Association, praised the outstanding achievements of Bahrain’s participants in the showjumping championships, which witnessed wide participation by world's renowned participants. He pointed out that this achievement is clear evidence of the attention given to equestrian sport by the wise leadership, which brought it to top ranks at the global level.
He extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, and Brigadier-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard and Chief of Staff Lt-Gen Diab bin Saqer Al-Nuaimi.
