Over 20 elements of Houthi militias have been killed during clashes that erupted between the insurgents and Yemeni governmental troops on Wednesday, as units of the Yemeni army managed to prevent the Houthi militias and other forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh from achieving advance in a number of fronts in Mareb Governorate. According to sources, Arab Coalition participated in the military operation to counter the sites of Yemen’s national army.
Military clashes have broken out between Yemen’s military forces loyal to internationally-recognized government of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi on one hand, and Houthi militias and other forces loyal to Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the other hand in the fronts of Hamak and Maris of Yemeni province of Dalea.
Sources revealed that violent clashes have erupted between the governmental troops and insurgents in the surrounding areas of Jebel Al Soor of Shaar Directorate of Ebb governorate. According the sources, the two parties turned to use heavy weapons during their clashes, saying that the clashes continued until early Friday.
According to military sources, the Houthi militias and other forces loyal to Yemen’s former president Ali Abdullah Saleh shelled the villages of Maris with Katyusha rockets and heavy artillery shells, while there is no information about humanitarian losses. The military forces responded to the attacks of militants with an artillery attack against the areas they control.
The Yemeni national army managed to defuse a large number of explosive devices and mines planted by the insurgent militias in Zenog district of Taiz. According to a statement issued by the Yemeni army, they managed to defuse undermine a network of explosives in the districts liberated by the national army Yemen’s military leader Nabil Al Adimi warned of the danger of the mines and explosives planted by the insurgent militias, saying that such action aims to prevent the Yemeni armed forces from achieving advance in the areas controlled by the militias.

The governmental troops managed to restore a number of areas in the province killing a leading member of Houthi militias called Seleim Al Feshi with three of his companions.
