Group has previously claimed responsibility for attacks on Israeli border

Group has previously claimed responsibility for attacks on Israeli border Arish – Yousry Mohammed Sinai-based anti-Israel group, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes, have released a video showing Jihadi training camps set up in the Sinai desert. The video was released as a short preview and shows an operation carried out in September against an Israeli patrol.
Ansar Jihadis are seen in the footage dressed in local attire, topped by a bullet-proof vest modified to carry ammunition, in what appears to be a military training exercise with heavy machine guns. Showing a map marking the starting point of the operation in eastern Sinai and the location at which the group\'s fighters engaged with the Israeli army, the video reveals violent clashes near the Egyptian border.
A number of anti-tank missiles can be seen in the video, followed by a massive explosion on the Israeli border. Clashes then break out using heavy machine guns. This is followed by images showing demolished Israeli armoured vehicles.
The 53-second piece of footage, which promises a longer release, also shows the fighters burning an Israeli flag while carrying machine guns.
The Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes group claimed responsibility in September for the armed attack which took place on the Egyptian border with Israel. The attack, the group said, was in response to \"Israel\'s role\" in the controversial anti-Islam video released online.
A statement released online by the organisation at the time dubbed the operation: \"The battle chastising those who dared to insult the beloved Prophet.\"
The statement claimed that at least eight Israel soldiers were killed in the attack and the country was covering up its losses. According to the statement, which gave details relating to the operation, the three operatives who carried out the operation were trained using Kalashnikovs and rocket-propelled grenades
The group, which has previously claimed responsibility for an attack on the Israeli border town of Elat, also pledged more attacks.
The statement said the \"battle\" was carried out \"in defence of God\'s Prophet\" to \"chastise the Jews\" for a supposed involvement with the offensive film the trailer of which prompted demonstrations and riots in some parts of the Middle East and Asia.
According the statement, the plan was to kill all members of the patrol before disposing the bodies down a deep ravine in the area so they could not be found. The group wanted to give the illusion that the soldiers were missing resulting in panic among Israel.
