Opposition Labor Party in Algeria

The Algerian political parties, that have announced their participation in the expected parliamentary elections, on 4 May, begin to complain about excesses of affiliated parties on Algerian power, while the Head of the Electoral Commission (EC), Abdul Wahab Drupal, promised to organize fair and transparent elections.

The Secretary of the opposition Labor Party in Algeria, Louisa Hanoun, directed, on Friday, harsh criticism to the political parties, which manipulated in the register of the electorate, and used it to collect signatures for lists running for the parliamentary elections.

Hanoun revealed that political parties used the register of the electorate in the collection of signatures for the lists of upcoming legislative elections campaign, adding that security opened investigations in these abuses and aberrations prevailing number of provinces.

She called the Algerian authorities for canceling the Algerian's parliamentary seats allocated for the Algerian community abroad, adding that choosing the lists of the Labour Party conducted in quiet for several reasons, including taking into account the scientific level of the party.

The head of Rally for Culture and Democracy Party, Mohsen Bel Abbes, has finally complained from abuses by the administration, indicating to what happened in Tamanrasset province, south of Algeria, saying that the administration refused to grant the forms for collecting signatures of voters to parties and independent candidates claiming that the forms had not yet reached.

The Algerian opposition questioned the integrity of this election for several reasons, most notably is the participation of large number of businessmen and ministers in the government of Abdelmalek Salal for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
