Clashes resumed between the Syrian governmental troops and armed militias loyal to the Syrian regime on one hand, and ISIS extremist group on the other hand in the surrounding area of Jahar oil field in the eastern desert of Homos and other areas surrounding the oil fields in the city amid intensive air raids targeting the group’s strongholds to achieve advance in the area.
The advance of the governmental troops comes two days after its success to achieve another advance towards the historic city of Palmyra in the framework of the attempts adopted by the Syrian government to restore the areas it lost recently to the extremist group.
In the same context, the Syrian governmental fighter jets carried out raids on Waar district besieged by the governmental troops and other militias loyal to the Syrian regime. The attacks led to the killing of three persons from the same family, including two brother children, in addition to the injury of at least 30 persons, including ten children and three women.
The governmental troops shelled areas in Doma city, near the eastern Ghouta of Damascus. They also targeted sites related to the extremist group in Beit Naiem in the eastern Ghouta, with no information about humanitarian losses.
The Syrian fighter jets also targeted areas in Telaas in Idlib’s southern countryside controlled by Tahrir Al Sham front after days of clashes with Aqsa Soldiers militias with no information about humanitarian losses. According to sources, one person has been killed as he was shot by the Turkish border guards during his attempt to pass the borders between Syria and Turkey.
A child (15 years) was killed due to the explosion of a land mine in Kobani city, at Aleppo’s North eastern countryside. The Syrian factions shelled areas in New Aleppo and Hamadanieya district, with no information about losses.
Syrian governmental troops resume their advance towards the Syrian city of Al Bab in cooperation with Russian fighter jets to control Assad Lake and water station to pump water to Aleppo, as ISIS extremist group uses the water as a weapon during its fight against the government.
The extremist group showered the agricultural areas of Aleppo's eastern countryside with water as it opened the gates of Khafsa water station on the lands to prevent the governmental troops from advance.
In the same context, the number of civilians killed since the beginning of the Turkish attack against Al Bab increased to 112, including 34 children and 23 women. However, the number of victims in the city, still fully controlled by ISIS, hit 432 civilians since the extremist group controlled the city.
The city witnessed increasing bombings during the recent hours, as the Turkish troops intensified their bombardment in coincidence with the clashes between ISIS and other Islamist factions existed in Aleppo.
In Hasaka province, a huge bombing hit Shadady village in the road linking between the province and Raqqa. The bombing was executed by a suicide bomber using a car bomb targeting Syria's Democratic Forces. It led to the killing of a number of persons. The clashes between the two parties resume in Raqqa with no information about humanitarian losses.
In Homos, the clashes renewed between the governmental troops and the militants at Waar district with no information about humanitarian losses. The Syrian fighter jets bombarded the district during the recent days leading to the killing of a child and an old woman. The number of victims increased to 27, including eight children and three women.
ISIS militants targeted sites dor the governmental troops at Homos' eastern countryside in coincidence with clashes with no information about humanitarian losses from the two sides.
Governmental sources revealed that they achieved notable advance in Bayarat area near Palmyra, as they controlled sites after increasing battles with the extremist group. It added that the governmental troops advance towards the oil and gas fields after their control on Hayan company and its surrounding fields.
In Deir Al Zour, ISIS leader Abu Baker Al Baghdadi called for raising a state of alert in preparation for a new invasion against the governmental troops in the city, demanding the civilians to participate in it.
