Wadi Lajab near Raith is one of the major tourist attractions in the southern Jazan region as it receives hundreds of tourists and holidaymakers from inside and outside the Kingdom. During the winter festival, which will be opened by Jazan Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Nasser on Wednesday, the number of people visiting the valley located 150 km northeast of Jazan reaches its peak. The mountains at Wadi Lajab are distinguished by their soft rocks in attractive colors surrounded by trees and greenery, making it a wonderful place to sit and relax. The entrance to the valley is a bit narrow, not exceeding four meters, but when you enter there you will be welcomed by a vast greenish wadi with enchanting streams and fountains. People can take their vehicles for up to two kilometers inside the valley. After that they have to walk as the area is filled with rock and water. Many people come to this place to bathe in these natural waters. There are big trees surrounding the valley including palm trees with a length of 30 meters. The presence of huge trees add color and beauty to the valley.  Wadi Lajab has become a famous tourist destination not only for Saudis and expatriate workers. Many foreign tourists, especially from the Gulf Cooperation Council states, visit the valley to enjoy its beauty and serenity.
