Photo shows the imperial palace of Raja Mahal in Orchha, India. Orchha is a small town, 180 kilometers away from popular tourist destination Khajuraho, which is famous for the large group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples and their erotic sculptures. Orchha was founded in the 15th century AD by Rudra Pratap Singh, who became the first King of Orchha and also built the Fort of Orchha. The most noteworthy architecture in Orchha are the Raja Mahal and the Jahangir Mahal. The Jahangir Mahal is considered to be a singularly beautiful specimen of Mughal architecture.
