A Sudan Airways Fokkers -50 plane, with 39 passengers aboard plus 6 crew members, managed to land safely on the ground of Khartoum international airport after failing to land in Malakal airport in South Sudan due to technical fault in one of its rear tyres. Acting Minister of Transport, Eng. Faisal Hamad, explained that the prompt arrangements and efforts taken by the Airport Authorities and the Civil Defence led to the safe landing of the plane, commending the proficiency of the Pilot and the co-pilot.
