President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decision to extend the terms of boards of the tourism chambers and its unions.
The president also issued amendments to the law no. 85 of the year 1968 to establish tourism chambers and organize a union for them.
Presidential spokesman Ihab Badawi said that it was not suitable to hold elections of board of directors of the tourism chambers and its union because the polls coincided with carrying out the future roadmap including the presidential and parliamentary polls.
Therefore, the elections were postponed for three years, he added.
