The Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai will be participating along with the delegation from the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing at Russian travel fair – Otdykh Leisure. The event scheduled from 17-20 September in Moscow will witness participation from senior business development manager, Renata Komkaite from the hotel. The fair last year attracted 1,500 exhibitors from 100 countries and more than 65,000 visitors. Scott Butcher, general manager of the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai said: “CIS is a key source market for Dubai and we are eager to get a bigger share of the business. The fair provides a platform to showcase our product and facilities to leading travel trade professionals. We believe there is more business to be done to attract not only high-end tourists but also families and business travellers.” Visitor numbers from Russia to the Emirate have increased dramatically. The overall outbound Russian market was estimated at more than 19 million last year, and it took fifth place among the top inbound markets for Dubai, recording a substantial rise amounting to 54% growth rate over 2011 and totalling 0.39 million – more than Germany, Kuwait or China.
