An Air Services Consultation Meeting was held in the Croatian capital of Zagreb between the Aeronautical Authorities of the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Croatia on Tuesday and Wednesday 27th -28th September 2011. The Omani delegation was headed by Sheikh Said bin Ali bin Nafal al Mas\'hali, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Civil Aviation Affairs. He was accompanied by the officials from Air Transport Department of Civil Aviation Affairs and Oman Air. The meeting resulted into the conclusion of an Air Services Agreement which was initialed along with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Civil Aviation Authorities of the two friendly countries. Oman Air was designated as the National Airline of the Sultanate of Oman to operate air services on the routes specified in the Annex of the agreement. Moreover, Croatian Airlines, Dubrovnik Airline and Trade Air were designated as the National Airlines of the Republic of Croatia. The signed MoU creates a new path for the designated airlines to operate unlimited number of scheduled and charter flights between and beyond points with full traffic rights. Moreover, it allows any designated airline to enter into co-operative marketing arrangements in order to develop and liberalize the regulatory framework for Air Services and promoting tourism, commerce, trade and faster economical growth between the two countries.
