The number of visitors to an ice fishing festival held in the northern town of Hwacheon surpassed the 1 million mark for the eighth straight year, the organizing committee said Monday. The number of people who attended the 2014 Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival topped 1 million in just three weeks after its opening, according to the organizing committee and Hwacheon county officials. The number of foreign visitors surpassed the 100,000 mark.
