The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a guide to creating an "electronic travel document" for those wishing to travel to the United Kingdom within the framework of the ministry's keenness to facilitate the procedures of travelling for citizens. Ahmed Alham Saeed Al Dhahiri, Director of Consular Services in the Ministry, said today that the guide includes a detailed explanation of the stages of creating the electronic document through the creation of a new and permanent user account, which requires personal data corresponding to the passport and residence address in the first stage. He said that the user in the second phase should update his account as a prelude to creating an electronic document application for the user himself or other persons, which includes personal data according to the passport and flight details to the UK. Al Dhahiri said that citizens can briefed on the guide by visiting the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also urged citizens to adhere to the laws of the United Kingdom when travelling there, stressing the need for registration at the Tawajedi service before leaving the U.A.E. to facilitate the process of communication in emergency and crisis situations.
