Dense fog descended on Lahore and other parts of Pakistan, forcing closure of the Allama Iqbal International Airport and the Lahore-Islamabad section of the Motorway, (Geo News) reported on Monday. Sources said that the airport has been shut after dense fog blanketed Lahore and its suburbs, forcing the closure of runway due to low visibility. The sources said national and international flights to and from Lahore have been diverted to other cities of the country while many flights have been cancelled. Severe cold weather gripped the city with dense fog causing problems for travelers.
