A passenger jet carrying 241 passengers made an unscheduled landing at Japanese airport after the flight crew decided to check the cause of a strange smell in the cabin, the flag carrier said Saturday. Korean Air Lines Co. said the A330 wide-body, twin-engined airplane that left Sapporo in northern Japan for Incheon International Airport at 1:55 p.m. Friday had to divert to Komatsu Airport 30 minutes into the flight.
