Ground staff at one of Berlin‘s airports declared what they called a warning strike early Friday, amid negotiations over pay and conditions. The trade union Verdi said the strike at Berlin‘s Tegel airport would last from 6 am until 9:30 am (0500 until 0830 GMT), in support of the 1,500 employees of the company Globeground, who handle passengers and luggage through the airport. Berlin‘s other airports were not expected to be affected.
