Civil Defence Department (CDD) personnel on Sunday extinguished a fire that broke out at a 150-square-metre restaurant in the capital’s Marj Al Hamam neighbourhood. No injuries were reported, the CDD said, calling on restaurant owners to meet public safety requirements and equip their restaurants with fire extinguishers and alarms. Also on Sunday, one person died and two were injured in a collision that involved a car and a tanker on Petra Street in Irbid, the CDD said.
