Nordic carrier Finnair on Tuesday reported an increase of 23.9 per cent in its scheduled traffic in July, mainly as a result of strong demand from the Asian region. “Business travel demand continued to develop favourably in July, particularly in Asian traffic,” said Erno Hilden, chief financial officer, Finnair. According to Hilden, the airline’s overall capacity grew by 14.7 per cent during the period under review as demand from Europe to Japan continued to recover. “In July, our passenger load factors were very close to last year’s levels despite capacity growth,” Hilden said.
