Emirate Airlines will stop flying over Iraq due to concerns over missile attacks following the MH17 air disaster in Ukraine,
The airline told the journalist it was taking “precautionary measures” and “working on alternative routing plans for flights using Iraqi airspace”. the BBC reported.
Emirates said it is already re-routing some flights. It will take a few days for the re-routing to be completed, the airline added. The airline added that it was closely monitoring the security situation in Iraq with other international agencies, stressing that it will never compromise the safety of customers and crew.
