The Egyptian Embassy in Accra has urged citizens wishing to travel to Ghana to obtain visas from Ghana's embassy in Cairo.

The authorities in Ghana have cancelled airport visas for Egyptians, the embassy in Accra said, stressing that nationals should have the visas before leaving for the African country.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry advised citizens Tuesday to abide by the new visa measures.
