A Danish plane with 140 passengers on board was forced to make an emergency landing at Billund airport in western Denmark shortly after taking off because of a damaged wheel, the airport said. The Boeing 737-300, a charter flight to Portugal run by Danish company Jet Time, landed safely at Billund about an hour after take-off, airport spokesman Kjeld Zacho Joergensen told AFP. The plane circled the airport for some time before landing. Four ambulances and six fire trucks had been sent to the airport as a precaution, Louis Honore, a spokesman for rescue services Falck, told AFP, but were not needed.
