London - MENA
British Airways announced new security measures for passengers, the company's spokesman told MENA correspondent.
He noted that the company will not allow passengers to ascend its planes, if their electronic devices are not charged.
The devices will be confiscated before boarding if their owner fails to switch them on and prove they are charged, he added.
He stressed that if passengers are unable to power up their electronic devices they will not be able to take them on the flight.
The heightened security comes amid reports that two terror networks are working together on a bomb that could evade existing detection measures.
