Kuwait - WAM
Six flights were delayed at the Kuwait International Airport, while 21 others were diverted to neighbouring airports when thick fog engulfed the country, bringing the airport operations to a standstill due to poor horizontal vision.
Engineer Saleh Al Fadagi, head of operations at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Kuwait, told KUNA in statement that the fog forced a delay of six flights while 21 incoming flights had to be diverted to nearby airports in the region, adding that the air traffic returned to normal at 07:45am.
