Demi Lovato has a new album in the works.
The 22-year-old singer detailed the project in an interview with MTV published Tuesday. Lovato said the record will have a "more organic" sound, but clarified she doesn't like labeling herself or her music.
"I am working on a new album," she revealed. "I think that I'll be so extremely busy with the world tour it won't come out for a while but I have started and have worked on some stuff that is really amazing and I can't wait for people to hear it."
"That's one of the most exciting parts about my entire life is creating music and listening to it over and over and over again and getting excited and thinking, 'What are people going to think when they hear this?'" she shared. "I'm ready to take it to a whole other level."
Lovato professed she loves "all different types of music," and is "literally influenced by every single type of music there is." The singer said she doesn't restrict herself to one genre by "putting a stamp on [her] chest," and explained, "I don't define myself as one thing or another, I'm just me."
Lovato released her fourth studio album, Demi, in May 2013. The singer completed her Neon Lights tour in May, and kicked off her second world tour in support of the album September 6. The Demi World tour will come to a close October 27 in New York.
