Khartoum will host a forum on December 12-13 on Saudi investments in Sudan with the participation of 250 Saudi businessmen and companies.
The forum, organized by the Sudanese Investment Ministry, is meant to discuss challenges facing Saudi projects and investments that are estimated at $26 billion.
Also, it aims to post Sudanese ministries and bodies concerned on all obstacles and challenges of Saudi investments, including the customs and taxes bodies, the Central Bank of Sudan and the energy companies to reach solutions to them, said Sudanese State Minister at the Ministry of Investment Osama Faisal a statement on Saturday.
Furthermore, the forum will mull visions and proposals of businessmen and companies that have investment in the African country to address all problems, challenges and obstacles facing them in all aspects, notably bureaucratic procedures, he added.
The gathering will touch on mechanisms to reach consensus with regard to the infrastructure and banking transactions in addition to reviewing the best ways of fostering coordination between investors and the Sudanese Investment Ministry to lure more Saudi investments to the country, he added.
