Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head later Sunday for the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, for the sixth round of the countries' joint committee.
The committee will convene on Monday for three days.
Shourky will be seeking means to promote political, economic and trade ties with Kenya and hold consultations on a number of issues of mutual concern, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said.
He will hold a series of meetings with officials there, including one with his Kenyan counterpart Amina Mohamed in parallel with the committee meeting which will convene at the experts' level, the spokesman said.
The top Egyptian diplomat will also have a meeting with the Kenyan environment and water resources minister to review the latest developments regarding the Nile water file, he added.
He, meanwhile, will also deliver medical aid supplies to Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi. He will also meet with United Nations officials as he will attend a meeting of the permanent representatives to the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) to deliver Egypt's speech, Abdel Aati said.
Shoukry will also open the Egyptian-Kenyan business forum during the visit.
