Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashed al Maktoum received on Tuesday Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawqi Allam.
WAM news agency said the meeting dealt with issues discussed during a forum on the Islamic economic Fiqh (Jurisprudence) which wrapped up in Dubai earlier in the day.
Al Maktoum, who is the also the prime minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, stressed the importance of the role of the ulemas in highlighting the tolerance of Islam and its moderation.
