Syrian Foreign Minister Walid el-Moallem met here on Tuesday with UN Special Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting focused on means of putting into force de Mistura's proposal to freeze the fighting in the northern city of Aleppo.
De Mistura has been trying to facilitate local ceasefires in different areas of Syria since October 2014.
