Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, received here today the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain, Vagif Garayev.

They discussed ways to improve parliamentary relations between the two countries, especially amid the growing role of Russia in the Middle East and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regions.

Al-Mulla said that he is looking forward to enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially the parliamentary and legislative ones through exchanging expertise, as well as to encouraging bilateral economic and investment cooperation to achieve common interests.

Ambassador Garayev expressed pride in the existing friendship ties between the two countries, stressing his country’s keenness on bolstering its relations with the kingdom in various fields.

He wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
