On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on Sunday received Chung Sye-kyun, Speaker of National Assembly of Korea.

The guest conveyed the greetings of the Korean leadership along with good wishes of continuous success to His Majesty the Sultan and the Government and the Omani people further growth and prosperity. 

After welcoming the guest and his accompanying delegation, Sayyid Fahd reviewed the strong, historic relations between the two countries, as well as the keenness to upgrade them.

He also affirmed that the comprehensive development march in the Sultanate is based on building humans and respecting their rights.

Sayyid Fahd also highlighted the firmness of the Omani Shura experience, as well as the role of the Council of Oman alongside the Government in supporting tracks of sustainable development.

The Korean guest expressed great appreciation of his country for the domestic and foreign achievements made by the Sultanate, in addition to building the state of institutions and the supremacy of the law, as well as the Sultanate's positive role in regional and international issues.

He stressed the importance of his meetings with Majlis Al Shura and officials in the country.

Conversation during the meeting touched on means of supporting the bilateral relations in several fields in line with the level of prospective cooperation, besides sharing consultation on issues of concern between the two countries.

Sayyid Fahd asked the guest to convey greetings of His Majesty the Sultan along with best wishes of permanent success to the Korean leadership and the Government and the Korean people aspirations of progress and development.

The meeting was attended by Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma'awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura, Eng. Mohammed bin Abu Bakr Al Ghassani, Deputy Chairman of Majlis Al Shura and Kang Doho, Korean Ambassador to the Sultanate.
