Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sameh Shukri, his Egyptian counterpart, co-chaired here earlier today the second meeting of the Saudi Egyptian follow-up and political consultation committee.
During the meeting, they discussed the distinguished wide-range relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.
They also discussed in-depth ways of promoting the Arab joint action, a number of regional issues of mutual concern, led by the Palestinian issue, the situations in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen as well as the increasing phenomenon of terrorism in the region.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Badr Abdulati, the spokesman of the Egyptian ministry of foreign affairs, said the two sides voiced identity of views during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Egypt Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, who is also his country's permanent representative to the Arab League, and Osama Nugali, the Director of the Information Department at the ministry of foreign affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
