Russian Foreign Minister's Special Envoy for the Middle East Sergey Vershinin left Cairo Wednesday, wrapping up a two-day visit to Egypt during which he attended the Middle East Quartet meeting.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry attended the meeting along with other Quartet representatives from the US, the European Union and the United Nations.
The talks tackled means of pushing forward the Middle East peace process to reach an all-out solution to the Palestinian cause.
The conferees condemned Monday's terror attack in which Egyptian Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat was killed.
The conferees expressed full solidarity with Egypt in its war against terror
