President Paul Kagame of Rwanda yesterday received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, in the capital, Kigali.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Rwandan President along with their wishes for stability, progress and prosperity to the people of Rwanda.
The Rwandan President reciprocated his greetings to His Highness the President, His Highness the Vice President and His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, stressing his country's keenness to strengthen the bonds of bilateral relations with the UAE, praising the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and achievements in various fields.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted UAE's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Rwanda, expressing his appreciation for the economic and social accomplishments achieved by Rwanda in various areas of developmental fields. He pointed out that there is a common desire from both sides to open new horizons for cooperation in all areas.
President Kagame expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation relations with the UAE on the economic and political levels and the partnership followed by the UAE in building its relations with Rwanda in particular and Africa in general. He called for boosting UAE investments in his country, which has one of the best investment climates in Africa.
The Rwandan President hosted a luncheon in honour of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World.
